NSW Health is collecting personal information from you so that we can assess your eligibility for employment under the Aboriginal Allied Health Cadetship program.
Your personal information will be held securely and handled in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002. The personal information collected includes your name, date of birth, address, contact details, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander status, your relevant university enrolment information and any other personal information that you provide to us in your application, resume and other supporting documents. It is up to you whether you provide this information. However, without this information, we may not be able to assess your suitability for the Aboriginal Allied Health Cadetship. You may be required to provide further personal information if you proceed to the next stage of the application process.
Access to your information will be limited to the NSW Health staff who administer the Aboriginal Allied Health Cadetship program and staff of the NSW Health organisations participating in the cadetship program where it is relevant to their role. NSW Health will ensure that security safeguards are in place to prevent your information from being lost, accessed, used or disclosed by unauthorised persons.
The personal information that we collect from you may be used or disclosed within NSW Health for the purposes of organising your placement and the ongoing management of your cadetship with NSW Health. For these purposes, your personal information may be accessed by relevant NSW Health staff including staff of the Ministry of Health, Local Health Districts, Statutory Health Corporations and the NSW Health agencies providing support services to the public health system.
